New in 2004 as LJ04 LEU, this is one of 7x former Arriva London DAF DB250/Wright Pulsar
Gemini double deckers acquired for our ‘Silver Stars’ school bus network earlier this year.
All seven have been converted to single door layout, had a new wheelchair bay and front
entrance ramp installed, lower deck floor covering replaced, up-seated, fitted with Hannover LED
destination and number displays and re-painted into our ‘generic’ silver livery.
Bus 530 is the final bus of the batch and has been extensively upgraded beyond its base
specification in a joint project between Bus & Coach World of Blackburn and Reading Buses to
demonstrate the capabilities of bus industry suppliers and trial some new interior concepts.

demonstrate the capabilities of bus industry suppliers and trial some new interior concepts.
The upgraded bus now includes the following new features:
• Upgraded Esteban seats with Civic V3 headrests trimmed in grey leather with stitched in logos
• Seats re-trimmed in the latest Reading Buses ‘black multi-coloured dot’ moquette
• Re-floored with Altro two-tone wood effect flooring throughout
• Re-painted interior panels and silver powder coated hand poles fitted with new bell push units
• At seat USB charging points and 4G Bosch Wi-Fi throughout
• Upgraded LED salon lighting with additional under-seat, staircase and floor lights
• New ‘social seating’ concepts upstairs with a sofa style ‘banquette’ and a table seating area
• On table ’air-charge’ wireless mobile phone and tablet ‘qi’ charging pad and cable connectors
• White crystal Hannover LED destination display
• New style Wrightbus Gemini/Eclipse front end and personalised registration plate

Many of these features are now in test ready for deployment in our new bus orders.
This particular bus will be used in our ‘generic’ spare pool and will support the 6x brand new
Wright Streetdeck buses on order to upgrade our Woodley Orange routes from September 2016.
